Recipe Box Privacy Policy

Recipe Box does not collect, store or share any personal information. Your recipes, photos and grocery list stay on your device.

What stays on your device

Your recipes, photos, grocery list and timers are saved in the app’s private storage on your tablet. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Backup files are created only when you choose to save one, in a location you pick.

No accounts, ads or analytics

Recipe Box has no sign-up. It contains no advertising, tracking or analytics code, and no third-party services that receive your data.

Internet use

The app connects to the internet only when you paste a recipe link to import it. It then downloads that single web page and its photo directly from the website you entered, the same way a browser would. That website can see the request, as it can for any visitor. We never receive it.

Camera and photos

Used only when you choose to add a photo to a recipe, either by taking one or picking one from your gallery. Photos stay on your device.

Notifications

Used only to ring your cooking timers when the app is in the background.

Purchases

The optional one-time unlock is processed entirely by the Amazon Appstore. Recipe Box never sees your payment details. Amazon’s privacy notice applies to the purchase.

Children

Recipe Box does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app deletes all of its data from your device. Backup files you saved yourself stay where you put them until you delete them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
